Joe Biden traveled to two key swing states, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, on Labor Day to deliver venomous campaign speeches against Republican voters. He’s in full campaign mode, embracing his role as chief contender in hopes of stopping a red wave in the November midterm elections in just 62 days. .
In Milwaukee, Biden rolled out a new term for Republican voters. To build on his MAGA Republican description of Trump voters, he dubbed over 74 million voters “Trumpies.” He did so while describing a plan put forward by Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) that would call for a renewal of programs like Social Security. Biden intentionally likes to choose parts of Scott’s plan that he considers extreme. His cynical approach to criticizing a Republican agenda for the future ignores the fact that not a single Republican in the Senate signed off on Rick Scott’s plan. not one.
“The biggest contrast to what MAGA Republicans — the far right, the Trumpies — these MAGA Republicans in Congress are coming for your Social Security,” Mr. Biden said. “You might think I’m making this stuff up, it’s so outrageous.”
This new language follows his bipartisan, ugly speech in Philadelphia last week, in which he insisted Republicans support semi-fascism and support the use of force. He insists that Republicans are not just fascists, they are a threat to democracy, a threat to both personal and financial liberties. Biden reiterated this in his Labor Day speeches.
“Not every Republican is a MAGA Republican. Not every Republican subscribes to this extreme ideology. I know this because I’ve had the opportunity to work with mainstream Republicans throughout my career,” he said. “But the extreme MAGA Republicans in Congress have chosen to step backwards full of anger, violence, hatred and division. But together we can, and we must, choose a different path: forward.”
Mr. Biden continued, “Extreme MAGA Republicans not only threaten our privacy rights and economic security. They welcome political violence.”
It is not uncommon for a candidate to use verbal abuse in campaign speeches. In Biden’s case, however, he is the leader of his party. He won’t be on the ballot in November, but he did file the paperwork for re-election in 2024. The gloves are off for him. The man who healed the soul of America, promoted unity and worked with both sides of the aisle is proving to be the worst politician. He demonizes his political opponents, in this case about half of the American electorate.
The White House is putting Biden on the campaign trail to rally Democrats so they can get out and vote in November. He is using the rallies to drive a victory lap for some recent legislative wins, such as the bipartisan domestic chip industry boost bill, the anti-inflation law and his strong support for unions. He calls his government the most pro-union of all previous governments. A recent Gallup poll shows the highest level of support for unions since 1965, even though only 1 in 10 workers are union members. That’s half the turnout in four decades.
Biden is the most anti-working class president in modern history:
*Real wages are BELOW.
*Real income is LOWER than when he took office.
*The average American has thousands less in savings than they did last year.
*56% say their financial situation is getting worse.

Biden inflation is hardest on working-class and low-income Americans. Salaries are not keeping pace with inflation. Biden preached to the choir on Labor Day. His crowd is small, and getting union members to show up for a Democrat speech isn’t the huge feat Team Biden might think possible. Trump’s rallies still draw thousands of people. Biden may be driving a lap of honor, but his approval ratings are still at historically low levels. Not only has it failed to unite Americans, it is exacerbating divisions.
Democratic candidates avoid running with Biden. In Milwaukee, he targeted Senator Ron Johnson, a Trump supporter. He is in a close race against Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes, a Democrat. The race is a toss-up at this point. It’s important that Johnson retain the seat so Republicans can regain control of the Senate.
“To this day, MAGA congressional Republicans defend the mob that stormed the Capitol. And people died. Senator Johnson said it was largely a peaceful protest,” Mr Biden said. “There is no democracy in which you can be pro-riot and pro-democracy.”
The President then doubled down again, saying he was not being metaphorical in his claim that democracy itself is up for election this November.
“So when I say democracy is at stake, I mean what I say. Literally. You can’t say you support law enforcement and call the people who attacked the police on January 6 ‘patriots,'” he said.
Mandela Barnes did not show up with Biden at the rally.
The Democrats are the party of the Defund the Police movement. That one Jan. 6 riot is what the Republicans call commonplace, and that’s the big lie of the Democrats. Biden must not sugarcoat the summer of love in 2020, when Black Lives Matter and anti-Trump protesters burned and looted in cities across America. Many of the so-called peaceful protests turned violent and deadly. At the time, however, there was no peep from Biden. Kamala Harris even encouraged supporters to contribute to the bail fund for Minneapolis protesters following the death of George Floyd.
Joe Biden supports Defund the Police Democrats.
Mandela Barnes in WI wants to “defund” what he calls “overinflated” police budgets.
John Fetterman in PA wants to “reinvent policing” and release 1/3 of prisoners.

Questioning election results is something Democrats have been doing for years. I remember they did that in 2000, after George W. Bush was declared the winner of Al Gore in Florida, in his 2004 race against John Kerry, and the Democrats took to the streets in large numbers to oppose the to protest Trump’s victory in 2016. During Trump’s four-year tenure, protests erupted regularly when Democrats declared him the illegitimate president.
Biden now calls people questioning election results a threat to democracy.
He and his own party have been doing this for years.
Dems hope no one sees these clips.

Will President Unity increase political violence while continuing to demonize Republican voters? In today’s overheated environment, it’s not out of the question. MSNBC guest Roland Martin explained that the Democrats are now “at war” with the Republicans. He commends Biden for calling Republicans a threat to the country.

What could go wrong? We’ll see if “Trumpie” is permanent or if it was a one-off ad lib to the dazed and confused Biden.
